Director & Owner
Sedat Asil, who has worked at 4 different top & multinational market research companies, is now sharing his experience as the owner and director of Spicy Insight, in areas of market research; focusing on innovative techniques such as online etnography, neuro techniques, technology enabled research, big data and predictive analytics related research, as well as conventional research techniques focusing on shopper research and market entry strategies.
He has graduated from Marmara University - Econometrics and Sabanci University - MBA. He has worked at Millward Brown, Ipsos, Nielsen and Kantar TNS, including managerial and business development roles. He has always been a desirable consultant with the help of his international view, enhanced by his multi-skilled work styles. He is always looking for a better and more practical solutions, where he mostly uses the newest technology and techniques as a tool to provide the insightful findings in a simple and meaningful manner.

Freelance Consultant
Dr. Umut Konuş is Associate Professor of Marketing at the Amsterdam Business School. Dr. Konus completed his PhD in the field of Marketing Models at the University of Groningen in 2010. His dissertation received the award of best PhD Dissertation in e-Marketing, e-commerce, mobile, cross channel and innovation in distance selling and awarded with the Golden Cube by the French Direct Marketing Association in October 2010. Before starting his academic career, Dr. Konus worked for the MORI and GfK specializing in modeling and e-commerce.
His current research interests include: marketing analytics, online and mobile customer engagement, customer journeys, path-to-purchase, marketing-mix and attribution models, micro-moments, omni-channel management, customer adoption of new products and touch-points. His research has appeared in international journals such as Harvard Business Review, Journal of Retailing, Journal of Interactive Marketing, International Journal of Research in Marketing and International Journal of Electronic Commerce. In recent years he has actively worked in numerous projects ın the UK, Turkey, France and the Netherlands focusing on customer and marketing analytics.

Barry Lemmon is an expert in understanding and influencing shopper behaviour. He has held a number of senior positions in the industry and was Managing Director of Kantar Worldpanel (2002-2007) and Global Head of Retail & Shopper for TNS (2008-2015).
He has developed the Purchase Outcomes™ framework to help brands and retailers target shoppers for growth. The framework has been inspired by the work of Byron Sharp and How Brands Grow, and places Sharp’s laws of growth at the front of mind when trying to understand and influence shopper behaviour.
Barry is the Founder of First Purchase Research Ltd.

Freelance Consultant & Moderator
Evrim Gurur Kuşhan is an Anthropologist, Qualitative Research Consultant with a creative mindset, having graduated from the Istanbul University with a B.Sc. in Anthropology. She worked for Kantar TNS as a Qualitative Researcher over the course of many years. She become an expert in designing research patterns by combining with co-creation workshops during her time at TNS. Evrim has worked for well-known brands such as Unilever, Coca-Cola and British American Tobacco. She was twice awarded Baykuş (the Owl) prize by the Turkish Researchers’ Association (TUAD) in the category of uncovering insight.
Evrim has a special interest in segmenting consumers and needs, understanding brands and their competitive context, identifying and exploring white space opportunities. She improved herself in the field of psychology and became an expert to use Carl Gustav Jung’s archetypes and perspective as a tool on her researches. Currently, she works as a freelance Anthropologist and Creative Research Consultant and has ethusiastic about improving the ordinary qualitative research techniques.
